What a whirlwind week! Students did an excellent job writing final assessments and provincial achievement tests, and the hallways are buzzing with students excited about year-end activities.  Last evening, we had a wonderful time commemorating three years of learning, laughing, and growing together with our Grade 9s.  Our school ceremony was a lovely celebration of the amazing achievements of this fine group of students, and the evening was full of delicious food, time to enjoy the rides, and a night of dancing at Heritage Park.  We are going to miss this lovely group of students, and we wish them all the best as they being the next adventure in high school!

Speaking of Heritage Park…. today, students and teachers honoured Indigenous Peoples Day with a variety of land-based learning opportunities, Indigenous Games, and stories.  Be sure to check out some of the exciting activities Heritage Park has to offer Saturday, June 21st in honour of this special day: National Indigenous Peoples Day at Heritage Park

The City of Calgary also has a variety of activities going on Saturday and throughout the week.

Thank you for your generous donations

A huge thank you to families who donated non-perishable food and gift cards to support some of our John Ware families!  Congratulations to 7-2, who had the highest amount of food/gift cards donated.  Honourable mention goes to 7-1, 7-3, 7-4, and 8-4!

Lost and found – last call!

Please have your child check the Lost and Found over the next couple of days.  It is overflowing with lost/misplaced items, which will be donated if not claimed by the end of the school year. Families are welcome to pop in after school to look for clothing and items they may be missing.
