We have a 4 day week that is jam packed with activities. No classes Friday - Non-Instruction Day.

Please note: with the job action impacting our facilities and cleaning staff, we will be opening the doors to students at 8:10 am each day. Our regular clubs, activities and current rehearsals and practice schedules will continue as planned. 

Schools typically open doors to students 15 minutes before the start of classes starting. We open doors early to offer a “soft start” to students, which we will adjust during this time of limited services. This time change will align with the arrival of students on transit. Thank you for your understanding and support of the school at this time.

Pink Shirt Day | Wednesday, Feb. 26

Pink shirt day is on Wednesday. Mr. Wolf and the PE team uphold, “on Wednesdays we WARE pink.” Join us in acknowledging our collective call to be kind and welcoming to all and end bullying.

SWAT Team Survey | Cultures in our School

Our Student Wellness Action (SWAT) Team came around to homerooms this week asking about cultural ties and backgrounds for our students. In the CBE student survey, kids report they do not see culture reflected in our school. In an effort to understand our students’ backgrounds, the following questions were asked:

1. What culture are you connected with?
2. Where did your family emigrate from?
3. When did your family come to Canada, or were they always here?
4. What languages do you speak at home?

Fundraiser | Education Matters Science Olympics

The APEGA Science Olympics are interactive, inter-school events for students in Grades 1
to 12. Science Olympians use problem solving to develop solutions to a series of challenges
that demonstrate how engineering and geoscience impact our everyday lives. Students will
participate in teams of five. John Ware will enter two teams.

This campaign is to raise funds for entry fees and supplies. Thank you for your support.
EducationMatters is a charitable registration #898887005RR0001. Tax receipts will be provided for
donations greater than $20.
