September 22-26 2025 Weekly Update John Ware 
Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our welcome back BBQ and open house. It was lovely to see everyone and to enjoy the delicious hot dogs put together by our students under the supervision of our Catty Kitchen Boss, Mr. Mouland (if you’re from Newfoundland, you’ll understand).

Next week, we will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day and National Day of Truth & Reconciliation. We are all treaty people and ask students to consider what we can all do in supporting understanding, appreciation, and allyship in being a part of ReconciliACTION. Students are encouraged to wear orange all week, and for our Reconciliation Walk on Friday, September 26, during homeroom block.

Students who require Individual Program Plans (IPPs) will receive calls/emails from their child’s teacher to set up a time to check in on setting goals for the first term. Students will bring home copies of their IPP on October 10 for parents and guardians to sign off on goals.

Terry Fox Run | Friday, October 3

Students will participate in our annual Terry Fox Run to help raise funds for cancer research. Families are welcome to come to the school to participate in our school run.

Students have the opportunity to “buy” tickets to pie a teacher in the face – when students raise funds, they are eligible for a ticket to enter to pie a teacher in the face at our Terry Fox Pep Rally in October.
