John Ware Families,
We are on the last few weeks of 2024 and appreciate the start to the year and welcome a number of new students who have joined us since the beginning of September.
Last week, students in Grade 9 attended Try a Trade at the CT Centre at Central Memorial High School. Students had the opportunity to visit a number of the offerings like auto body, mechanics, culinary arts, fashion, cosmetology, welding, business, design, photography, pre-engineering, among many others. Our students were amazing representatives of our school and tried out potential trades to explore in high school.
Thank you to our volunteers for helping make the experience a success.
Congratulations to the Junior Boys’ team - our Basketball Division Champions!!
Thank you to all our coaches and staff who supported our teams this fall. Teachers and coaches provide 65+ hours per team they support, on top of their typical teaching/planning and instructional duties. A huge shout-out to our team for helping our students find new skills and passions in sport.

School fees cover course fees, activities, and field trips. Starting this year, you must first apply for a Central Fee Waiver to be considered for a school-based fee waiver. This application will be part of the review process for waiving school-based fees. To begin the application process for a fee waiver, click the link below and follow the instructions for the central fee waiver. This will provide John Ware School with information about the economic or other barriers your family is facing. Complete the Central Fee Waiver application online at MyCBE. Once you receive an email confirming the completion of the central review, please contact Ms. Karpa to discuss the school fees you are requesting to be waived. We understand affordability can be a challenge, and we are dedicated to providing every student with a high-quality education, regardless of their family’s ability to pay fees.
